Sometimes I Wonder

Dear Future Husband,

Sometimes I wonder if you still exist.

Will I ever meet you?

Will I ever hold you?

Will l ever get the chance of spending

my lifetime with you?

Sometimes I wonder if we have already met.

How does your face look like?

What’s the color of your skin?

What’s the sound of your voice?

What’s your name?

Sometimes I wonder if you ever see me.

If you have already known me,

what’s taking you so long?

I hope you do exist.

And I hope one day we’ll finally see the beautiful story

God has been writing all along.

And I’ll be forever thankful

that you and I were meant to be.

That you are meant for me.

Your Future Wife,

Dianne Alvarez

While I Wait

While I wait,

I will prepare.

I will sow today

what I want to reap in the future.

While I wait,

I will be faithful.

I will continue to fear, love and honor God.

I will never replace Him and His will with the self-willed nor ‘created and moved by man’ plans.

I will love and serve the people whom He placed in my life.

While I wait

for the many things He promised me,

I will look to Him

who is always constant, faithful and never fails.

While I wait,

I will be the woman, the daughter, the friend, the future wife, the future mom, the missionary I want to see 5 or 10 years from now.

I will enjoy.

I will celebrate every detail of everyday.

I will be grateful.

I will truly live.

While I wait,

I will live and love faithfully

because greater things will come

and the things He said will all come to pass.

Woman, You Are More Than

Woman,

You are not what you do.
You are more than what you do right or did wrong or could ever do to prove yourself.
You are more than the lies in your head.
You are not what the enemy says and accuses you of.
You are more than what people could ever say and think about who you are.
You are more than what you say and embrace negatively about yourself.
You are more than when you feel less.
You are more than what you question about yourself.

You are who you are because God says you are a work of art.
So complex yet so beautiful.
So complicated yet so unique.
So different yet so wonderful.

You are beautiful.
You are accepted.
You are chosen.
You are appreciated.
You are embraced.
You are loved.
You are who you are because your Maker gets the final word.

He created you with so much wonder and mystery.
He created your inmost being.
He knit you together in your mother’s womb.
Praise Him because He fearfully and wonderfully made you.
His works are wonderful.
You are wonderful.
Know that full well.
This has always been true;
you just didn’t always know it.
